Description

EBC Brake Pads for Apollo-6 Calipers, 54mm Radial Depth.

Yellowstuff:

Yellowstuff ⁃ A first in a new range of ‘Hybrid’ materials that can be safely and legally used on worlds roads being R90 approved UK are a high friction upgrade pad for all fast street use and can also be used on the track with proper bedding

Yellowstuff has been the flagship pad by EBC for over a decade and gives instant brake response, great feel and modulations with silk-smooth noise free braking and was also improved in 2021 to be copper free and conform to all new legislations for the environment and our pads are fully shimmed chamfered and slotted .

Yellow arrives with pad surface Brake-in coating to accelerate pad bedding after install.

Bluestuff NDX:

A great all round sport and race pad, revised to a new improved formula in 2021 for faster bed-in.

Bluestuff material exhibits a 0.52μ stable friction once bedded stable up to a slightly higher 550℃/1000℉ than its sister compound yellow but with the benefit of 30% longer life than yellow.

Blue has been a trackday favourite for years and is the spec pad for the BMW 318i Cup series throughout Europe.New formula is copper free to conform to upcoming environmental legislations

Orangestuff 9000:

Developed as a full race pad with a high friction level that increases with temperature.

This material works best on light to middleweight high powered race cars where a higher fade resistance and wear life is desirable compared to Yellowstuff. Despite having an acceptable cold friction making this material street usable, the hot friction is deemed too high for ECE R90 approval and therefore this material is not road legal within Europe.

RP-1:

EBC Racing’s RP‑1 compound is an ultra‑high performance track and race pad designed for high performance vehicles driven hard on track. RP‑1 has a very stable friction coefficient of 0.45μ up to and beyond 750℃, making it an excellent performer for even the most demanding vehicle applications.

Due to its relatively high friction coefficient, RP‑1 is not Reg 90 homologated for road use within Europe and is therefore illegal for use on the public road. Unlike some other race pads on the market, RP‑1 offers a usable cold friction of 0.35μ below 100℃ meaning it can be safely used as a road pad for non‑European markets where Reg 90 homologation is not mandatory. At 100℃ the friction gently climbs to 0.45μ and stays there up to and beyond the designed upper working temperature range of 750℃.

RP-X:

EBC Racings’ RP‑X compound is an ultra‑high performance track and race pad designed for performance vehicles driven hard on track and for dedicated race cars. RP‑X has a very stable friction coefficient of 0.55μ up to and beyond 850℃, making it an excellent performer for even the most demanding vehicle applications.

RP‑X also has a high friction level from cold, requiring no warmup to achieve maximum braking effect which makes this material well suited for sprint race and hill climb events. Although RP‑X is not R90 homologated for use on the public roads in EU member states, the fact this material possesses excellent cold performance means RP‑X can be safely used for driving to/from motorsport events (where local laws permit).

EBC Racing does however emphasise that RP‑X has been developed for peak on‑track performance, meaning higher levels of brake dust and brake noise should be expected. RP‑X has comparable disc wear to many other popular track/race materials, however RP‑X disc wear is considerably greater than EBC Racing’s other track pad RP‑1 which results in high levels of brake dust.

Compared to RP‑1, RP‑X has a 25% increase in friction coefficient across its working temperature range with a much more ‘positive’ initial bite. This characteristic potentially makes RP‑X more suitable on heavy or inherently under‑servoed vehicles. For light‑medium weight vehicles, cars with non EBC Big Brake Kits fitted, or vehicles with no ABS, the less fierce nature of EBC Racing’s other track material RP‑1 may be preferable.

SR11 Sintered:

EBC make two sintered pad blends, SR11 lower friction and SR21 high friction.

Both are fully sintered pad blends for fastest asphalt race and endurance applications and have been independently dyno tested to LMGTE/GTLM race parameters. The new EBC SR range is a low-noise, fast bedding, long-life sintered pad blend that is designed to offer the LOWEST pad-wear-cost-per-lap in race driving. The pads work on a deposit film basis which reduces disc/rotor wear to almost zero. Bed-in is almost instant with one lap normally sufficient on decent rotor surfaces.

EBC Sintered SR pads, manufactured in the USA, are renowned for their superior performance, offering increased bite and longevity without damaging rotors. Utilizing advanced transfer film technology, these pads significantly reduce disc wear, providing better pedal feel and responsiveness.

The SR11™ medium friction compound is designed for both high ABS street cars and race cars, offering 3-5 times the lifespan of competitor semi-metallic pads.

  • Lowest Cost per Racing Mile: Economical for serious racers.
  • Reduced Fade: Consistent braking even under extreme conditions.
  • Immediate Braking Performance: Effective from cold temperatures up to 900°C (1650°F) without chemical bedding.
  • Enhanced Bite: Increased stopping power for improved performance.

Widely adopted by top racing teams in 2021, the SR pads have been requested for the 2022 season. For optimal performance, it is recommended to use SR21™ on the front and SR11™ on the rear.

SR21 Sintered:

EBC Sintered SR pads are in a class of their own, made in the USA plant of EBC Brakes. The SR21 bites harder and lasts longer than any other option without damaging rotors. While there have been a few sintered pads around in the past, none compare to these.

Utilizing advanced transfer film technology, disc wear is almost totally eliminated. Being a “hard” pad in compressibility terms means that pedal feel is also improved, providing better and more responsive braking.

The wear life of the SR21 pads is exceptional, with tests showing a lifespan that is 3-5 times longer than competitor semi-metallic pads.

The SR21™ ultra-high friction compound is specifically targeted for the front and rear of race cars with bias controls only. These pads are produced exclusively for full race calipers from manufacturers such as AP, Brembo, Alcon, and Wilwood.

The biggest advantage of the SR pads is twofold:they provide more bite, less fade, and the lowest cost per racing mile of any pad.

Another significant benefit is the almost instant braking performance obtained from the SR pads, effective from cold temperatures up to 925°C (1697°F). There is no chemical bedding required; simply fit them and race, as there are no volatiles to burn off, marking another first in race brake technology.

Dozens of top teams have used the SR pads in 2021, and every single one has requested supplies for the 2022 racing season.
