The latest generation of turbochargers from Garrett is the evolution of the GEN I series, more efficiency and more features are included here. In addition to significantly higher airflows with the same wheel size and extremely high temperature resistance in the turbine wheel and housing, the chargers come with 4 water connections, double piston ring sealing, and preparation for the speed sensor.

The latest generation Garrett G-Series II Turbocharger
A true evolution of the GEN I Turbos
Garrett is now launching a new line of G-Series II turbochargers. The special features are:
– New compressor aerotechnology increases power and performance
– G-Series II uses Gen I compressor and turbine housings.
– Up to 10% higher flow volume compared to G-Series Gen I at maximum pressure ratio and maximum turbocharger speed.
– Calibration required to utilize the increased flow volume for a performance upgrade.
– Increased efficiency at high flow rates
And the same features of the GEN I series:
– High-flow compressor housing with optional connection for the speed sensor
– Turbine wheel made of Mar-M (resistant up to 1050° C) with 15 to 20% more flow
– Stainless steel turbine housing resistant up to 1050° C
– Turbine housing with V-band inlet and V-band outlet
– CHRA with V-band individually rotatable
– Dual ceramic ball bearings
– 4 water connection ports
– Double sealing on the piston rings

The absolute novelty of the GTX Gen II turbochargers has naturally been adopted in the G-Series. The G-Turbos are also available as REVERSE rotating chargers!
Compressor Wheel
All G compressor wheels are CFD designed, forged, and milled from special high-strength aluminum alloys. The new G-Series II compressor wheels achieve 10% more airflow than the Gen I compressor wheels.
Compressor Housing
The new aero-optimized high-flow compressor housings with integrated mount for optional speed sensors are matched to the new G-Series compressor wheels. The improved recirculation systems from Generation I have been adopted in the G-Series II and significantly extend the operating range of the compressor by shifting the surge line.
Core Assembly
All Garrett G series are equipped with water cooling with 4 connections. This allows two connections to be selected on each side. This greatly facilitates the installation of the water lines. The G-Series II naturally comes with a double ceramic ball bearing like the Gen I and with all new double piston ring sealing on both sides.
Turbine Wheel
The new turbine wheels are made from the high-performance material Mar-M. This material easily withstands exhaust temperatures up to 1050°C. Here too, with the same wheel dimensions, 15-20% more throughout compared to the GTX turbochargers.
Turbine housing
The turbine housings are cast from a special stainless steel alloy which also withstands up to 1050°C.
