Developed on the basis of a request from a well-known rental vehicle company at the Nürburgring, Speed Engineering created this brake cooling for the rear axle of all BMW F models (except M2/M3/M4 models). When used on the track, the M-Sport and M-Performance brakes in particular have large temperature differences between the inner and outer side, which leads to uneven wear of the pads. Removing the anchor plate only helps to a limited extent. Speed Engineering’s air duct picks up the air under the camber arms with a funnel and guides it directly to the brake disc hub. Analogous to the front axle brake cooling, it uses the turbine effect, which enormously increases the efficiency compared to solutions that only blow on the friction ring.

Therefore, this product is the ideal addition to one of Speed Engineering’s front axle cooling systems, or an existing solution.

Important: The anchor plate must be dismantled!
