This heavy-duty billet aluminium fitting is a metal direct replacement for the weak plastic factory coolant fitting, found on the front of the oil filter housing.  The original is prone to cracking and failure over time especially during disassembly. The factory plastic part heats and cools thousands of times and eventually becomes brittle and will crack and fail. It’s just a matter of time.
