The Burger Motorsports billet aluminium B58 Oil Filter Cap cover directly replaces your weak OE plastic cap for greater protection, ease of removal/install and great looks under the bonnet. You can use a 3/8″ drive ratchet or 32mm socket to install and remove. The built-in hex head does not require a special removal/install tool like the factory cap. Uses the OE oil filter, filter housing O ring and filter insert. Anodized for protection. This quality part is a must for any serious BMW owner. Fits most gen 1 and gen 2 B58 engines.

New V2 magnetic version: Equipped with an integrated Samarium Cobalt magnet to capture dangerous metal shavings and particles that would otherwise circulate through your engine oil and bearings. Unlike other oil filter caps that press fit smaller magnets leaving them vulnerable to damage and displacement during engine heat cycles, BMS magnets are secured in their precisely machined pockets to safely withstand extreme temperatures and pressure.

BMS Magnetic Billet Oil Filter Cap for B58.

 

Install: After removing the OEM oil filter cap, remove the filter and be sure to remove the plastic oil filter bypass valve and transfer it t o the new BMS billet oil filter cap (see install video). Be sure to replace the exterior O ring gasket also when installing.
